If you ever get handed a loudspeaker specification that states the frequency response as being plus or minus 3dB, do yourself a favour and chuck those specs away. They are not worth two bob. It's just padding on a brochure and certainly a waiste of time reading.
Any specification that states +/-3dB is actually saying there is the possibility the speaker may have number of variations of up to 6dB and that, in this modern day and age, is simply not acceptable.
+/-1dB might be closer to saying something but lets face it, if your specification reading ability is limited to single plot frequency responce, you are in deep trouble.
