4U2SET is designed for sound engineers as their vital tool. Incorporating real time 2 channels analyzer, 4U2SET can perforom new tasks that single channel analyzer cannot. With it's 'REAL' real time performance, it can read an amaising amount of dynamic signals.
Precision is the foundation of successful measurement. With it's industrial Class 0 performance, the filters read exactly the value of each frequency bands.
4U2SET core function is a real time analyzer. But it is not only an analyzer. It is a 2-channel RTA. Both channels are analyzed in 31-band. With the 2-channel processing power, it even shows the real time difference between 2 inputs. Best for sound isolation and spectrum comparison application.
Sound level meter mode is relatively simpler function. Which focus on the master level measurement. Fast direct weighting change, response decay, and also easy 94dB level calibration are perform in this function.

The full kit we had a quick play with.
- RT60 measurement is another plus in 4U2SET. This function let the user find out the RT60 time from 0.3sec to 15sec.
- THD+N allow user to find out the problem from input to output.
- Average from all memory files which max at 255. User can do real nice average from a lot of measure samples.
- EQ setting can even target with a user curve, an usual practice by experience engineer.
- RTA can be zoom in and out in range, from 100dB range to 40dB range. Either channel can be switched off to display 1 channel in full window. SET option let user to define the decay time, the overlay display of equal loudness contour and peak hold.
- To control the range, simple use the center key to select the channel, and right key to zoom in, left key to zoom out. Up key to shift up, and down key to shift down.
- D ecay time selection are 125ms, 250ms, 500ms, and 1S. Scale can be switched between dB SPL, dBu, dBV, and Volt/mV.
- Peak hold and equal loudness contours can be turn on and off to each channel individually.
- Any touch in the display area will freeze the data and can be saved to files. While at pause, user can touch direct to the frequency interested in reading out the level on the right hand side.
- Precision of RTA is based on the precision of the filters. 4U2SET features 62 simultaneouly operation real time digital filters, each performing the tight tolerance requirement of industrial standard.
- The result is apparent. The display seems to be srange to the users who are familar with lower quality filter based RTA. It is because the spectrum is no longer a "mountain style", instead there are peaks, and dips (to nothing) because there is just no such signal in that frequency band.
- It is easy to tell the sharpness of filter. Simply apply pure sine wave signal to the RTA. Most RTA looks like a mountain view. But quality RTA will show you sharp peak.
- Real Time Precision is another difficult task for digital system. Time lag is always a problem, especially for the product to be claim as "REAL TIME". Digital filter perform real time speed versus FFT based units. 4U2SET completes 48,000 times calculation for all filters in 1 second. Much more higher the resolution of human vision. To tell the real time difference, simply see the display of individual RTA units, and the difference is obvious.
