Alcons introduces “line-array on a stick“
15th January 2010 - Yasper Van der Berger (Netherlands)

The Alcons LR7 micro line-array system can be deployed in a wide variety of applications.

Now, the new BRK5LR7 extends the versatility of the LR7 micro line-array system even further: With this swivel yoke, no less than up to five LR7 cabinets in stand-configuration and up to seven LR7 cabinets in flown configuration can be stand or truss mounted.

Truly unique feature of this yoke-mounting solution is that full curving functionality is maintained, herewith enabling a complete pole-mounted full-sized line-array system.

Both the 5 unit and 7 unit configuration can be connected to one single ALC amplifier channel, for a very efficient system lay-out.

The yoke is connected to the middle cabinet with two connecting plates on the side of the cabinet, secured with two quick-release pins each.

The connecting plates are attached to the yoke with conical joints, clamped by elegant, unobtrusive knobs.

As the stand-fitted array always moves within its centre of gravity range, it is a very simple, thus quick procedure to set-up and adjust the array.

The bracket has been certified with up to seven cabinets, under a safety rating of 10:1 and all within a standard tripod stand’s load limit. The bracket can be fitted with an optional truss clamp, TV-spigot or stand-mount adapter, depending on requirement. All additional mounting peripherals can be connected with M10 bolt/nut combination, in the three-hole lay-out of the bracket.
